My approach to weddings as a photographer is simple: I find the perfect balance of candid and editorial imagery. Guiding my couples from one moment to the next while allowing them to be in the moment and really enjoy their wedding day is essential to getting images that stand the test of time
Editing style is of upmost importance when choosing your photographer
I describe my editing style as classic, true to color, and timeless. Because I am heavily inspired by the classic tones and texture of film photos, that is what I strive for in my work. You will notice that colors remain honored and vibrant in my works, as well as the tones of the lighting and location.
How I would describe my methods of direction on wedding days
Capturing light, feelings & moments
Capturing natural and editorial images on the wedding day comes down to how comfortable you feel in front of my camera. For the most part; my couples have never had professional photos taken, yet I am still able to showcase their true personalities in interactions through photos.
I work as a photographer on weddings days by flowing with the natural order of events (which will be outlined in the timeline). I use verbal guidance and direction with my couples and families so that they know where to walk, look, and smile. There are some portions of the wedding day that will require more direction and traditional posing, such as family portraits. And then there are other portions of the day where I allow everyone to be in the moment and capture the in between candids.
engagement sessions& availability
Engagement sessions are not required, but are always a fun way to have a date night and get in front of the camera.
Availability for local engagement sessions varies on the season and are scheduled Monday-Thursday about an hour before sunset. If you are planning a destination engagement session (any session outside of St. Augustine Florida), availability is limited and may need to be scheduled with one of my associate photographers who are local to the area. If I have availability for a destination session there is a travel fee (hotel cost, and mileage).
